minimum value is the “lower-bound estimate” 1/(k-1) where k is the number of conditions
Values <1 indicate departures from sphericity and are used to correct the degrees of freedom for the F-ratios by multiplying them by the value of the estimate more conservative than the Greenhouse-Geisser estimate but may be too strict
